Self-sustainability:
At present the great need for JMS orphanage is to become self-sustainable. Currently JMS Orphanage's running cost is above $1000 per month, it is hard to raise this amount each month. Therefore, JMS desires to draw a long-term income generating solution for this orphanage by starting a business.
We are banking that the kids in our orphanage will grow up and they donate to pay for one child. We are installing this into kids right from now. It is long-range plan but we trying to motivate kids.
For us, human development is one kind of sustainability these kids are becoming asset of the Church and the country. This is sustainability of one kind. Financial stability will come with time.
Out-comes of Self-sustainability:
- JMS will be no more dependent on funding.
- It will reduce risk of dropping any more kids.
- In fact self-sustainability can gain more chances to get those for dropped kids back to JMS.
- It will help maintain quality food, safe drinking water, schooling, medical care, clothing and shelter expanses etc.
- It will pull down transportation expanses (like monthly van fee of school, outing etc.)
